  Notes	obit from findagrave Funeral services for Miss Kathy Applegate, 36, of Carthage were held Thursday, July 20, at 3:00 p.m. at Hawthorn Funeral Home Chapel with Earl Cantrelle, assisted by Mrs. Marjorie Parker, officiating. Interment was held in Restland Memorial Park near Carthage. Miss Applegate, born July 25, 1952 in Carthage, passed away Sunday, July 16, in Nacogdoches. She was the daughter of W.C. (Bill) and Dorothy Jane Salk Applegate. She was a Graduate Student with a B.A. Degree from the University of Texas, Dallas, in theater and was completing a Masters Degree in Special Education at Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches. She had lived most of her life in Carthage. Survivors include her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.C. Applegate of Carthage; one brother, Mr. Richard Applegate of New York, N.Y. and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and other relatives. Published in The Panola Watchman, July 23, 1989
