To all persons who shall see these presents: Know ye that I, Thomas Appell, (Sinour) of Middletowne, in East Jersey, being sick of body but of sound mind and disposing, doe make and ordain this my last will and Testament.

Item I will all my debts be paid.

Item I give my sonn, Thomas Aplegate, one shilling.

I give my sonn John one shilling.

I give to my sonn Danaiel one shilling.

I give to my sonn Joseph, one shilling.

I give to my daughter Elizabeth one shilling to be paid by my executrix, hereinafter named.

I give, bequeath and devise unto my sonn Beniamin, fifty acers of land to him and his heirs.

I giveth and devise to my sonn Richard and his heirs fifty acers of land, which aforementioned one hundred acres I had of my father-in-law Richard Gibbons, as will appear on my record, and lyes at the nutt-swamp, for the aforesaid Beniamin and Richard Applegate to possess and injoy the said land at the age of twenty one years, and if either of my said two sonns, is to say, Beniamin or Richard, should die before they attain the age of 21 years my will is the survivor of them shall have the aforementioned one hundred acers of land and their heirs.

Item I give, devise and bequeath to my loving wife, Johanah, all the land and real estate I have in the world (except one hundred acres before given) to her and her heirs forever.

I give, bequeath and devise my house and one hundred acers of before mentioned land given to my sonns, Beniamin and Richard, unto my loving wife, Johanah, till my sons Beniamin and Richard attain the age of twenty-one years.

After my debts and legacies are paid, I give unto my loving wife, Johanah, all my personal estate (effects) in the world, and I make my loving wife sole and whole executrix of this my last will and testament.
