Dear cousin I now take the opportunity to inform you that I am well at present and the rest of the friends as far as I now except aunt Rebecca Buchanon and James aunt has ben in a very weakly state of health ever since grandmothers death. James has been very weakly all spring and they are afraid his disorder is settled on his lungs. William is well but I do not see him more than once in too or three weeks unless I go to see him. [C]ousin Mary and Cornelius is talking of going out to see you after harvest and we will be looking for some of you to come home with them. [Y]ou can tell the folks they need not be afraid they will not get lost. I herd that Rachel was to be married in a short time. I wish her much happiness. I have not much to write but want you to write me an answer as soon as you can if you can read mine so no more at present but remain your affectionate cousin
