HIGHTSTOWN - William L. Applegate, 60, of Hightstown, died Oct. 7 in the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton. A lifelong resident of Hightstown, Mr. Applegate had been employed as a water treatment operator by the East Windsor Municipal Authority for more than 32 years.
An avid hunter and fisherman he was a member of the Bass Fisherman's Cub of Hightstown and the International Fish and Game Association.
Son of the late John and Eleanor (Stahl) Applegate, he is survived by his wife, Caroline Archer Applegate; his sons, William of Pittstown, PA and Christopher L. of Hightstown; his daughter, Patricia Reddick of Wilkes-Barre, PA,; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A service of remembrance was held on Sunday in the Crabiel Memorial Funeral Home, 202 Stockton St., Hightstown. Cremation will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.
