I Anthony Appelget of the Township of Monroe County of Middlesex and State of New Jersey being of Natural mind memory and understanding do make this my last will and testament in manner and form following that is to say
First it is my will and I order all of my just debts and funeral expenses to be duly paid and satisfied as soon as conveniently can be after my decease.
Item I give unto my wife Etna Appelget one bed and bedstead and sufficient bedding for the same of her own choice and to have a bond and mortgage on my real estate so the interest will amount to one hundred dollars yearly but if she cannot support herself by prudent economy on said one hundred dollars then my executors shall draw from time to time on the principal such sums as shall be necessary for her support
Item I give unto my son David B. Appelget my farm on which I now reside on the following conditions that is he shall keep it in as good repair as when he gets possession of it and when he leaves it by death or otherwise said farm to be equally divided his children the said David B. Appelget is to pay or allow for said farm the sum of four thousand dollars from the settling up of my estate
My executors may sell all my estate not otherwise disposed of at either public or private sale as they may think best and divide the proceeds equally between my children share and share alike except Helen Brown she having already obtained of the family the share that would have been Helen Browns whatever it would be to be equally divided between my Daughter Harriet Mount and my sons David B. Appelget and Disbrow Appelget this share not to have any effect on the other or foregoing portion of said will and is to be divided as follows. Harriet Mount is to have one half of said share David B. Appelget one quarter and Disbrow Appelget one quarter
Lastly I appoint my son Thomas Appelget and my son David B. Appelget executors to this my last will and testament made this third day of March one thousand eight hundred and eighty eight
