Dear friend:

Having had it in contemplation to write to you for some time past but being prevented by sickness untill now. I just inform you in a short manner of our present situation. We are all in reasonable health still hoping these few Lines may find you and your family in good health. As for my self and family we have had a severe spell of the Bilious fever but have all recovered to health again. Your relations here are all well

I was informed by Derick Applegate that you was uneasy about the Bond your father held on you for fear you might be brought to trouble about it. I now inform you that I have it in my possession and intend to keep it there if posible untill it is Destroyed as was talked of by your father. You may rest contented about it untill you heare more from me. You may take my word for it you shal never be troubled about it if I can prevent it if you can rely on me as your friend

Your father has been on a visit to the Ohio state this winter and just returned in good health they are now Living at Isaiah Applegates but expect to move shortly to Samuel Currents.

I add no more but me and my family all sends their best respects to you and yours this from your friend and ever well wishes
